TeleHealth
Clear Water Psychiatry and Wellness offers appointments through TeleHealth. A TeleHealth appointment provides a convenient and more accessible way for patients to receive mental health treatment, whether you are mobile-challenged, lack transportation, have travel time constraints or for any reason that makes it difficult getting to our office.
Our providers rely solely on the ability to connect emotionally and to have active communication with each patient. This makes the addition of a simple, secure video chat platform a desired tool here at Clear Water Psychiatry for new and established patients.
What Is TeleHealth?
TeleHealth utilizes technology and telecommunication systems to provide healthcare to patients who are geographically separated from providers.
Does my insurance cover a TeleHealth appointment?
With any new service you will need to verify whether TeleHealth is covered under your plan. Most insurance plans cover TeleHealth visits under the same benefits as an in-office mental health visit, applying your copay, deductible and/or coinsurance.
Can I still get my medications prescribed with a TeleHealth appointment?
Yes. When your medical condition calls for a prescription, our providers can send an e-prescription straight to your requested pharmacy.
What Telecommunication source is used?
We use Doxy.me which is accessible from any device that has access to a camera and microphone including desktops, tablets, or smartphones.
Will I need to download software?
There is no need to download software. You will access your telehealth visit through the Therapy Notes patient portal or a link to access your providers personalized room on Doxy.me will be emailed to you. You may call the office prior to your appointment at 512-203-3588 to check in for your appointment.
Is TeleHealth secure?
All data is encrypted, your sessions are anonymous, and none of your information is stored.
Doxy.me is in compliance with:
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act)
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
